How did Mike Tomlin hype up Justin Fields, Steelers in win vs. Chargers?

Nobody expected it but the Pittsburgh Steelers have now won their first three games of the season and have yet to drop a game. A big testament to how full-proof Mike Tomlin's system is their win against the Los Angeles Chargers. Everything was schematically sound and Justin Fields looked like a different beast. What gears shifted in the mind of the elite signal-caller? Let's find out.
Justin Fields' strong output against the Chargers
The Steelers signal-caller outclassed Justin Herbert in every way imaginable during their Week 3 clash. Fields managed to land 25 out of his 32 passes for 245 yards. In addition to his contribution to their air attacks, he was also able to carry the ball six times with a total gain of six yards. The cherry on top was that he led the Steelers to a rushing and passing touchdown each.
A drawback in what could have been a great performance for Fields was his ability to escape the Chargers defense. He threw an interception while also getting sacked twice in this matchup. Nonetheless, he still had a valiant effort in running the Steelers' offense. However, it did take him some time to heat up after trailing 10-7 by halftime.
Mike Tomlin plays the role of motivator well
There is no other head honcho in the league that is guaranteed to give one a postseason experience other than Mike Tomlin. He has built up that reputation for a good reason too and showcased it while the Steelers were behind by three points entering the third quarter. Fields outlined how the head honcho helped him.
"Coach T challenged us at halftime to play better and be better, and we came out second half and did just that. I think the offense, we did a great job responding, and we knew what kind of game it was going to be, so just proud of the guys out there for responding like we did, especially after they scored that first touchdown, and going down and putting a drive together,” he said.
The Steelers are looking like solid contenders to actually make a deep playoff push. Will they be able to continue this momentum once they face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3?
