Fantasy Football Top Week 6 Pick-Ups

Fantasy Football Top Week 6 Pick-Ups

Evan Siegle / Green Bay Packers

The fantasy football season is well underway, and if your team is starting to get banged up with injuries, never fear! here are the top three pickups at each position to snag if you need reinforcements.

QB:

1. Sam Darnold, Minnesota Vikings

If he's still available in your league, pick him up! The Sam Darnold breakout season looks to be legit. He's 10th in PPG among QB, making him a solid QB1 play most weeks.

2. Daniel Jones, New York Giants

Daniel Jones looks like he has found something in his connection with Malik Nabers. He is quietly QB14, but has been a top-11 QB in three of the five weeks this season.

3. Bo Nix, Denver Broncos

Bo Nix might be breaking out with Denver. the rookie is currently QB18, but he is consistently improving. He was a top-eight QB for the first time in week five, and looks like he is getting onto a roll after three straight wins.

RB:

1. Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers

Hubbard is now rostered in 88% of leagues (80%) before week five, but he should probably be rostered in 100%, so if you're in one of those 12% leagues where he's still available, pick him up! He's RB7, averaging 16.1 PPG.

2. Zach Charbonnet, Seattle Seahawks

Charbonnet is RB12,and while he did see a dip in production now that Kenneth Walker is healthy, Charbonnet still put up 9.4 points against Detroit, and that is in large part due to his involvement in the passing game. Geno Smith is using Charbonnet as a check-down option, allowing the second-year back to rack up the receptions, making him a valuable play in PPR leagues.

3. Chase Brown, Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals second-string running back is currently rostered in around 2/3rds of leagues. He's a solid flex-play, averaging 11 PPG in PPR leagues, despite sitting behind Zack Moss on the depth chart.

WR:

1. Brian Thomas Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars

If you are lucky enough to be in one of the 20% of leagues where Thomas remains available, now is your chance to pick him up. Thomas is now WR9 through five weeks, averaging 16.2 PPG. He's established himself as Trevor Lawrence's favorite target, and this is a team that trails often, which means Lawrence will be throwing a lot. Thomas will likely just keep getting better.

2. Wan'Dale Robinson, New York Giants

The fear with Robinson is that Malik Nabers will eat up too many of the targets and Daniel Jones won't complete enough passes. However, the upside is that he is consistently getting opportunities. Robinson is averaging 13.8 PPG, making him WR19, and he is available in just under 40% of leagues.

3. Ray-Ray McCloud III, Atlanta Falcons

McCloud is consistently seeing more targets and volume as he establishes himself in the Falcons offense. He is averaging just under 10 PPG, but has gone for 11.2 and 12.6 in the past two weeks. He is beginning to flourish with Kirk Cousins at QB. An underrated pickup for deeper leagues.

TE:

1. Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers

Kraft has clearly vaunted himself above Luke Musgrave as the Packers starting tight end, and people are catching. He's now owned in 67% of leagues, compared to just 2% of league a week ago. There's still a third of leagues in which he's available, so act fast. He's currently the TE3, averaging 11.2 PPG.

2. Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens

Even with Mark Andrews fully healthy, Likely has been the Ravens top tight end so far this year. He is averaging 10.4 PPG, making him TE5. He's only owned in 57% of leagues, and at the moment, he seems a great option at tight end.

3. Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars

Until Evan Engram returns, Strange is the guy at TE for the Jaguars, and he has been decent. He's currently TE13, averaging 7.2 PPG. He's probably only a smart play in leagues with 12+ teams, but keep him on your radar.

D/ST:

1. Minnesota Vikings

At 5-0, the Vikings currently have top defense in the league (at least in terms of fantasy) averaging 13.6 PPG. Yet they are only rostered in 68% of leagues. At this point, they're an easy start every week, unless they are playing the Packers or Lions.

2. New York Giants

Despite currently being the 8th best fantasy defense, averaging 8.6 PPG, the Giants are currently rostered in just 2.4% of leagues. They held Dallas to 20, Washington to 21, and Seattle to 20, and they are creating turnovers. The Giants should be a borderline starting defense depending on their opponent.

3. Kansas City Chiefs

While they are the 14th ranked fantasy defense, the Chiefs should always be considered because of their dynamic ability to take the ball away from you. They just held a Saints offense that looked dynamic in Weeks 1-2 to just 13 points.
