Who is Brittany Mahomes?
Brittany Mahomes started dating Patrick when the two were still in high school, and she has followed him throughout his collegiate and professional football career.
Brittany and Patrick were star athletes at Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas, where Patrick played football and baseball, and Brittany starred on the soccer field. She scored 22 goals and five assists in her senior year, and was named to the All-East Texas team.
After high school, Brittany attended the University of Texas-Tyler where she continued to play soccer at the collegiate level. She turned her collegiate career into a year playing professionally for the Icelandic club, UMF Afturelding. Despite scoring two goals in five games, she did not earn a second contract.
Personal Life
Brittany and Patrick Mahomes were married in 2022. They have a daughter and son, and the couple recently announced on Instagram that Brittany is pregnant with their third child.
Brittany is known for her excited cheering at the box office every time Mahomes makes a play. She’s also made some pretty famous friends over the years, a perk of being married to the NFL’s biggest star.
Friendship with Taylor Swift
Ever since she started dating Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift has been a frequent companion of Brittany Mahomes at Kansas City Chiefs games. The two were also spotted together at Wimbledon, and even reportedly spent time together with their partners at Taylor’s home in Connecticut.
Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are tight both on and off the field, so it’s no surprise Brittany and Taylor have also become close. That has not left Brittany without her fair share of controversies.
Controversies
Brittany Mahomes recently came under fire for liking a post on Instagram from former president Donald Trump. However, it is unclear who Brittany Mahomes will support in the 2024 election.
Brittany seems more focused on rooting for the Chiefs and being a mom to her two (soon-to-be three) children.
