The resemblance between Anna Frey and Brock Purdy is uncanny. A lot of people on social media have pointed out that they could be siblings and it even prompted the internet sensation to join the San Francisco 49ers quarterback on the field for a photo. However, they are not at all related. But, the gunslinging signal-caller from the Bay Area does have a sister. Who is she and how has she impacted his life?
Growing up together
The Purdys were all raised in Arizona and their close proximity to these state-of-the-art practice areas prompted all three children to get into sports. Whittney, the eldest sibling, grew up playing baseball and her parents supported her in every step of the way. Both Brock and Chubba would go on to follow their dad's footsteps and play football.
"The sports in Arizona were pretty good. Just in terms of the competitive nature. I feel like I was a really good athlete because of the kids that I was around who loved playing sports," the 49ers signal caller said.
Whittney Purdy and her relationship with the 49ers star
Whittney ended up playing for Southeastern University. Her collegiate playing career spanned from 2016 to 2020. Meanwhile, Brock ended up with the Iowa State Cyclones until he got drafted as Mr. Irrelevant of the 2022 NFL Draft. These siblings were very competitive and found a way to challenge each other despite the difference in sports they play.
“Ever since we were little, competition has been everything. We just always want to win and we don’t like losing," Chubba, their youngest brother, said about his older siblings.
