A lot of the time NBA players use money or fame as their motivation to get better. However, there are a few exceptions who strive in order for their family to get a more comfortable life. Cade Cunningham is one of these stars and he constantly improves such that his daughter could have a nice future.
You read that right! Cade Cunningham has a daughter named Riley born in 2018. He was a teenage father and provided all the needs of his family since he was still playing in college. Life is often tough for the Detroit Pistons guard because of the expectations placed on him but his child keeps him tethered.
In fact, Cunningham uses Riley as his primary source of inspiration. The Pistons guard always keeps his kid in mind no matter how hard his situation is: She’s everything. I don’t know, she’s like a bundle of happiness in a 2-year-old body. It’s not enough words, really, that’s my daughter. She’s everything right now, she’s my motivation and all that.”
The Pistons are set to have a comeback after a terrible 2023-24 campaign. Cunningham is definitely locked in and he is doing it all for his family.
