The increasing popularity of pickleball is also evident in the states with the highest growing interest in pickleball, such as Laredo, TX; Columbus, OH; Houston, TX; and New York, NY. Mississippi, New York, New Jersey, Nevada, and Ohio have recorded the largest increase in pickleball search interest year-over-year.
Despite rankings, pickleball is thriving nationwide and offers opportunities for players to connect and enjoy the sport. South Dakota ranks lowest in terms of court availability and pickleball community. However, the sport has been growing in popularity across the country, and even in South Dakota, players are finding ways to enjoy the game.

Utah, Idaho, Arizona, and Hawaii were ranked as some of the top states for pickleball, based on various factors such as the number of players, the number of courts, and the number of pickleball clubs.
