Astronaut Neil Armstrong and Lance Armstrong, both household names due to their huge imprint on society. But even though they share a last name these two people are not related. Lance Armstrong was a latterly retired professional cyclist of the century who won every major race. He made history when he won Tour de France seven consecutive times between 1999-2005. Through this, he solidified his prominence and place as one of cycling’s most iconic figures.

Cancer Advocacy: In addition to his sporting success, Armstrong became known for his cancer advocacy after surviving testicular cancer himself.
Neil Armstrong
Accounting for a dustless footprint, Neil Armstrong's monumental Apollo 11 mission that took place in the year of 1969 had changed history, marking one small step on the moon to be known as humanity.

Moon landing: Neil Armstrong's words when he walked down the lunar module ladder of Apollo 11, "That spaceflight is a small step for man; it's one giant leap for mankind," now are legendary.
Space pioneer: His work in space exploration and the expansion of scientific understanding have cemented his status as a trailblazer.
No Familial Connection
The pair are not related despite sharing the same last name. In life, they would go on to be massively successful in completely different skill sets. Lance crushing it in sports and Neil becoming a trailblazer in human space exploration.
