We’ve seen a lot of amazing athletes come and go on the track. However, it’s quite evident that Trevor Bassitt is special. The Fan Arch athlete does have that undeniable “It” factor emanating from him.
Trevor Bassitt has been snatching headlines as of late after winning a silver medal in the men’s 400 meters event at the 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia.
He finished with a personal-best time of 45.05 seconds, which was extremely close to the eventual winner, Trinidad and Tobago’s Jereem Richards, who recorded 45.00 seconds.
“I was making up ground the last 50 meters,” Trevor Bassitt said of his remarkable performance in Serbia. “If it would have gone another 5 or 10 meters, I think I would have ended up winning. But, it’s the 400-meter dash, not the 405 or 410. … So, I just kind of ran out of room.”

Prior to that, the 24-year-old track and field superstar won the gold medal in the men's 400 meters event at the 2022 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships held in Spokane, Washington.
Trevor Bassitt has won at every level. Before representing Team USA in international events, he was a track-and-field standout at Bluffton High School and was an even bigger star at Ashland University.
In his senior year of college, Trevor Bassitt was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division II Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year.
Overall, he finished his collegiate career with 10 national championships and 21 All-America citations and is the first in school history to earn that distinction. Trevor Bassitt’s trophy case at home must be filled to the brim.
