From there, Eckroat started to see success, finishing in the top 25 and on the first page of leaderboards heads up against some of the toughest competition on the Korn Ferry Tour. That earned him a chance to play on the PGA Tour, which he secured when he was runner-up at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship last month. The move was pivotal for Eckroat, providing him a stage to prove his talent against competitive PGA Tour players and opponents across the globe.
Current PGA Tour Career
In just his short time on the PGA Tour, Austin Eckroat has made quite an impression. Through July 2024, he had played 48 events and cut in just 27. Moreover, he finished T-10 at the 2023 U.S. Open and did so by tying a nine-hole record en route to that back-nine score of 29 in the final round while finishing with his lowest career major tournament spot on any leaderboards.
