All Elite Wrestling (AEW), which was founded in January 2019, is well on its way to being a very big dog. From its home base in Jacksonville, Florida, AEW has expanded from a cult favorite into one of the world's leading wrestling organizations. The article covers a full look at AEW employees, both in terms of internal employment numbers (full-time and part-time personnel plus contracted workers) and the nature of their departments and roles within the organization.

Overview of AEW's Workforce

AEW employs various people in different roles and departments as it prepares to head into 2023. Of course, these numbers seemingly change on a daily basis given the current state of most professional wrestling promotions, but AEW is believed to have around 200-300 employees when you factor in all areas, such as wrestlers, production workers, and office workers.

Breakdown of Employment Types

Full-Time Employees

AEW still has a core group of full-time wrestlers essential to the company's day-to-day functions. This includes:

In-Ring Talent: AEW has made exclusive deals with many wrestlers who will be more focused on working for them than elsewhere. Some heavyweight names on the list of full-time wrestlers include Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, and Jon Moxley.

Administration Staff: This group includes the executives, legal team, human resource leads, and others who operate AEW as a business. The key members of the AEW executive team are Tony Khan, President and CEO, and Megha Parekh, Chief Legal Counsel.

Part-Time Employees

Event Staff: These are staff present during live events, including security, ticketing issues, and directing guests.

Freelance Wrestlers: This might be used if a wrestler appears only in limited events or for specific storylines.

Contracted Workers

Producers and Agents: They help to line up matches and keep things moving during the events.

Technical Staff: The camera crew, sound technician, and lighting are necessary for live broadcasts and events.

Departments Within AEW

AEW is staffed at the corporate level by his team, with several significant departments within the company.

Wrestling Talent

The most apparent division between the two is AEW's casting, broadly speaking, under its wrestling talent department, which includes a mix of actual wrestlers. Former WWE stars, indie darlings, and international talent have all been signed to AEW, as the company has never discriminated against where you came from. AEW needs this department to keep pace with its other promotions.

Production & Tech Staff

Cameramen and Editors (Broadcast): They shoot and edit footage for the weekly shows and pay-per-view events.

Sound and Lighting Technicians: provide the necessary audio/visual element for all events

Creative and Writing Team

Producers: They write scripts and dialogue for promos and in-show segments.

Agents: They function as intermediaries between the wrestlers and bookers to iron out matches with execution must-dos during live shows.

Office and Administration

Finance Manager: Responsible for budgeting, payroll, and financial planning. In a nutshell.

Legal and Compliance: Impose all the industry directives on AEW and handle contracts with talented vendors.

PR and Marketing

Social Media Managers: Working at home, they manage AEW's online personality and have gone to fans.

Event Coordinators: who conduct promo events and fan meet-ups.

Rising Employment and Labor Force Expansion

Since the promotion began, AEW's workforce has greatly expanded. The company began with just an executive team and a few wrestlers but quickly grew to include the show on TV via Warner Media. The deal has enabled AEW to expand its production capabilities and support staff as it continues building its brand.

AEW has created its own space and a damn good roster to represent the very ambitious goals it set, based upon how much they grew in just two years. AEW employs an estimated 200-300 people working full-time, part-time, and contractually across their various departments. Indeed, as the company grows and evolves, it will only add more employees who can contribute, perhaps ultimately resulting in a place among the No. 1 spot of wrestling promotions today. AEW will continue to invest in its talent roster, both on and off-screen, across the board.
