Dubbed "The Eighth Wonder of the World," Andre the Giant was a larger-than-life presence in professional wrestling. At 7'4" and around 520 lbs, he was a dominant figure in the wrestling ring and outside of it.

Outside of his impressive wrestling abilities, another aspect of Andre the Giant that only solidified his status as an icon was his famous drinking skills, which made him a legend to his diehard fans and forever changed the wrestling world.

Andre the Giant: The 8th Wonder of the Beer Drinking World

The enormous intake of alcohol by Andre the Giant was one of those things that were simultaneously expected and impossible to fathom for his peers and fans.

Many legends and stories attest to his impressive ability to drink extraordinary amounts of booze. As Hulk Hogan says, Andre drank 12 bottles of powerful French wine during an eight-hour bus ride in Japan.

The truth of those legendary drinking stories was again set by wrestling superstar Bobby Heenan, who told yet another in which the seven-foot-plus giant ordered 40 vodka tonics in a hotel bar and proceeded to drink every last one of them, forever solidifying his status as the world's worst drinker.
