Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic added a new piece of silverware to his trophy cabinet, as he was named Slovenia's Sports Personality of the Year for the sixth consecutive year.
Doncic is coming off arguably the best season of his career, averaging a career-high 33.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, 9.8 assists, and 1.4 steals on 48.7 percent shooting from the field in 70 regular season games to lead the Dallas Mavericks to their first NBA Finals appearance since 2010-11.
The 25-year-old also made his fifth consecutive NBA All-Star Team and All-NBA First Team, won the ESPY Award for the Best NBA Player, and was third in the league MVP voting behind Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokic and Oklahoma City Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

The Dallas Mavericks exceeded expectations when they made it to the NBA Finals last season. However, they were up against the stacked Boston Celtics and lost to them in five games.
Dallas is hoping to make it back and win it all next season. They retooled their squad this summer with the free agency additions of Klay Thompson, Spencer Dinwiddie, Naji Marshall, and Quentin Grimes, and they re-signed Markieff Morris and Brandon Williams to new deals.
