Born on April 3, 1992, in Bedford, Texas, Blake Swihart's aptitude for various sports was apparent throughout his high school career at V. Sue Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Debut and Boston Red Sox Days
Swihart was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 1st round (26th overall) of the draft. This was the start of his professional baseball career. The Red Sox promoted him to the major leagues on May 2, and he made his MLB debut that day versus the New York Yankees. Finally, Swihart showed off his versatility in 2015, playing catcher and left field throughout the season.
Decline & Changes in Performance
