Joe Rogan is an American Podcaster, sports commentator, and stand-up comedian. 

Rogan has been a part of the UFC broadcast team since 1997. Rogan hosts the Joe Rogan Experience which is one of the most popular podcasts in the world. In 2020, Rogan signed an exclusive deal with Spotify for exclusive streaming rights to his podcast for 200 million dollars. Rogan rose to popularity as a comedian in the Boston area. 

Early Life and Stand-Up Comedy Career 

Joe Rogan was born in Newark New Jersey on August 11th, 1967. His early childhood years were spent in Newark New Jersey, San Francisco California, and Gainesville Florida before his family eventually settled in Newton Upper Falls Massachusetts. Rogan studied Martial Arts as a teenager and taught Martial Arts at Boston University. He moved to New York in 1990 and became a full-time comedian. Rogan has starred in seven Netflix Comedy Specials.

The UFC 

In the early 90s, Joe Rogan appeared on UFC TV broadcasts as a backstage interviewer. When Dana White and Zuffa Boxing took over the UFC in 2001, White offered Rogan a full-time job as a commentator. Rogan has called the majority of the US events since 2002. 


The Joe Rogan Experience

After success in comedy and as the host of the reality TV series Fear Factor Rogan turned his attention to Podcasting. The Joe Rogan experience began in 2009. The show covers a wide range of topics and has featured several celebrity guests such as Robert Downey Jr., Dwayne Johnson Steven Tyler, and Mike Tyson. In 2020, Rogan signed a 200 million dollar deal with Spotify for exclusive streaming rights to JRE. In 2024, Rogan signed a new deal with Spotify for 250 million.
