Being in a sports-oriented family could be quite difficult, especially if one sibling has already broken out into superstardom. It is not known to many but Jayson Tatum has two siblings, Jaycob and Kayden. There are still a lot of things ahead of them such that he gets categorized as the same athlete as their oldest brother but the former might be closer to the Boston Celtics star than most people think.
Celtics legend’s younger brother, Jaycob Tatum
Jaycob was born on the 27th of January in 2004. He immediately followed Jayson Tatum’s footsteps once he grew older. The younger brother of the Celtics star also went to Chaminade Preparatory School. However, his path would divulge from his older siblings’ shadow as he chose to pursue football over basketball. There was nothing much the Tatum family could do but support him.
Eventually, Jaycob elected to transfer to Christian Brothers College. He won two state championships with the school and had a fair amount of college coaches scout him. The young football star decided to join the Western Illinois Leathernecks and is continuing his legacy there.
If Celtics fans thought Jayson was physically daunting, Jaycob is way stronger than his older brother. He plays linebacker for the Leathernecks and has a knack for taking down receivers and quarterbacks of any kind. At 5-foot-11 and 212 pounds, he is physically imposing but has not gotten the chance to be fielded yet. As of the moment, he is a Redshirt Freshman who is hoping to climb up the depth chart once a spot clears up.
If there’s anything to learn about the Tatums, it’s that they pop off whenever a chance is given to them. The biggest example? Well, let’s just look at a certain #0 that caught the eye of both Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski and Celtics’ Brad Stevens.
