No, it's not just his parents but she was a romantic interest. She goes by the name of Arnetta Yardbourgh. Her love for the Big Diesel was often larger than him. Arnetta Yardbough is a very familiar name for a lot of Orlando Magic fans. She was always on the sidelines during Shaquille O'Neal's rookie year up to when they reached the NBA Finals in 1995. They started dating in 1992 but eventually decided that it was just not meant to be for the both of them in 1996. Eventually, she gave birth to the Magic and Los Angeles Lakers legend's child in July of the very same year they broke it off.
Despite the split, the two still co-parent Taahirah O'Neal and have been very civil with one another. Yardbough made a name for herself in the world of business too. As of the moment, she owns AY & Associates LLC. She also dabbled in owning the ABA's Sugar Land Legends which has been a success so far.
Shaq clearly has an eye for people who would do good in business. Yardbough did not let their break up define her and has remained a popular figure in her own right. Hopefully, she continues to expand her net worth and even notch a lot more success in her business ventures.
