Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry recently signed a one-year $62.6 million extension, making him the third player in NBA history alongside Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James and Phoenix Suns' Kevin Durant as players to pass $500 million in career earnings.
With this, Stephen Curry is guaranteed $178 million over the next three years of his Golden State Warriors deal, as he'll earn roughly $55.8 million in 2024-25, $59.6 million in 2025-26, and $62.6 million in 2026-27. His on-court earnings will have reached about $532 million when that season ends.
Curry will surpass Kevin Durant's $504 million, but he will be second behind LeBron James' $584 million. The three NBA superstars played a huge role in Team USA's latest gold medal triumph in the 2024 Olympics.
Stephen Curry plans to be a Golden State Warrior lifer
Before signing his new deal, there were questions about Curry's future in the Bay Area because the team hasn't surrounded him with the pieces to help him win his fifth NBA title this summer, although the 36-year-old previously said he wants to be a warrior "for life."
“I've always said I want to be a Warrior for life,” Curry said. “At this stage in my career, I feel like that's possible.”
Because he is not getting any younger, fans will have to savor his last few years as a franchise player for the Golden State Warriors.
