LeBron James is 39 by the time the 2024-25 NBA season rolls around, and he doesn't appear to be retiring anytime soon because of his impressive play.
The Los Angeles Lakers forward recently led Team USA to win the Olympic gold medal in Paris, and last season, he also spearheaded the Purple and Gold's inaugural NBA Cup triumph, winning another MVP trophy in the process.
James also became the oldest player to be named to an All-NBA team last season, and according to ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins, that won't be the last for the King.
"No cap! LeBron is gonna make a few All-NBA teams before he retires, and I mean at a minimum (of) two. Don't give me anything about his age. As long as he's on the floor, LeBron James is gonna be an All-NBA-caliber player, and he's gonna make a few of them before he retires," Perkins said on ESPN.
Can LeBron James lead the Los Angeles Lakers to another championship?
LeBron James still produced at a high level last season, averaging 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 1.3 steals on 54 percent shooting from the field and 41 percent from three-point range in 71 regular season games.
However, given the team's lack of high-profile offseason moves, it'll be hard to envision them contending in the Western Conference against the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Minnesota Timberwolves, among others.
