In a short documentary called The Process, Duke University legend JJ Reddick stated, “The side of professional [basketball players’] wives that sort of gets glamorized and there's a perception that their lives are easy. But the reality is for the most part, they're single parents for nine months out of the year. When I'm on the road, she's on her own. The night before a game when I'm home, I'm thinking about the game. It's hard for me to say this and admit this, but I don't even know if I'm present half the time.” We all know about JJ Redick's career, but Kilgore has played a very important part in his success.
Chelsea grew up in Madison and attended Canton Public School, then graduated at Mississippi State University, earning a degree in Elementary Education and teaching. She spent most of her early twenties working as a Pilates and fitness instructor, something she always loved doing after college.
His Meeting with JJ and Their Relationship
Kilgore and Redick met in 2008, not long after he began establishing himself as an NBA player with the Orlando Magic. Their relationship moved quickly, and they got married in June 2010.
What Chelsea Does for JJ
JJ Redick owes plenty of his success to the contributions of Chelsea. She knows what it takes from a physical standpoint, given that she's an accomplished fitness instructor, to succeed at the professional level and helped Redick stay in game shape. Redick, able to play well into his 30s while staying at the top of his game, has benefited from Chelsea's extensive knowledge and background in fitness and Pilates.

She's kept her private life out of the greater public eye and concentrated on her career, as well as being there for Redick while he plays in the NBA.
