Darius Victor has paid his dues and he’s ready to return to the NFL. After a tough learning curve in his first three seasons in the league, the 28-year-old running back has been grinding in the United States Football League.

The Fan Arch athlete is arguably better than some of the RBs in the NFL right now. The man just needs one team to give him his shot.

Despite a solid collegiate career at Towson University, no NFL team selected Darius Victor in the 2017 Draft. That didn’t dampen his spirit, as the First-team All-CA got invited to both the Jets and Saints rookie training camps. He made it to New Orleans’ roster and played in four preseason games.

Darius Victor was impressive with 35 carries for 126 yards and a touchdown. However, it was just hard to crack the Saints’ roster at the time, considering they had Mark Ingram, Adrian Peterson, and Alvin Kamara.

Darius Victor took his act to the Arizona Cardinals after getting waived by the Saints. He earned himself a reserve/future contract in 2018. But it just wasn’t meant to be for the former Tiger, as he was also let go by the Cardinals.

Darius Victor took his talents to the XFL in 2019 and did amazing things for the New York Guardians. But his tenure was cut short after the league folded in 2020.

The cat-quick running back has been making waves for the New Jersey Generals in the USFL ever since. Darius Victor won Offensive Player of the Year last season after leading the Generals to a 9-1 finish. Despite not being a starter, he led the league in rushing touchdowns (9) and finished third with 577 rushing yards.

It’s clear that Darius Victor has improved leaps and bounds since his first tenure in the NFL. His confidence is through the roof right now, and he could really do some damage in the NFL if put in the perfect position.

The Saints, meanwhile, already worked out with him last month. Let's wait and see if Darius Victor can make his return to New Orleans.
