Luka Dončić was 18 years old when he made his pro debut in the Spanish ACB League with Real Madrid. He had been playing for various youth teams since he was 13, but it was only when he reached the age of 18 that he decided to make the move to a professional team.
He was an instant sensation, as he was not only talented and skilled but also mature enough to handle the physical and mental demands of the sport. He was starting games, averaging 10 points per game and was even named the ACB's Rising Star of the Year.
At just 19 years old, Luka declared for the 2018 NBA draft. He was selected as the third overall pick by the Atlanta Hawks and was immediately traded to the Dallas Mavericks.
