Chris Gutierrez knocks out the legend Frankie Edgar

Chris Gutierrez had the answer to beating UFC legend Frankie Edgar: one big flying knee. El Guapo got the biggest win of his career as he sent Edgar into retirement with a knockout just two minutes into their UFC 281 bout in Madison Square Garden.

The win extends El Guapo's winning streak to four fights in a row and his unbeaten run is now at eight straight fights as he continues his steady climb up the ranks with a record of 19-3-2.

Chris Gutierrez got the call to face Edgar in the UFC great's retirement fight, which was a major opportunity for El Guapo. Not only was it the most high-profile fight of his career to date, but it was also a great shot at claiming a win over a former UFC champion.

With four losses in his last five fights - three of which coming via KO - it seemed like the time had come for the 41-year-old Edgar to call it quits.

And there would be no storybook ending for Edgar as El Guapo landed a flying knee to "The Answer's" head, knocking the former UFC lightweight champion out cold just two minutes into their fight.
