One of the more exciting elements in the game is "Road to Glory," which puts you on the map as a college player and allows for some personal storytelling during gameplay. This deep dive article explores each layer of "Road to Glory" mechanics and progression with a comprehensive breakdown of building your college athlete character, the different stages of the mode that exist in-game, and much more.
Mechanic and Progression Road to Glory
In "Road to Glory," players will live the life of a student-athlete and distance learning academic-athletic experience. The gameplay mechanics have been created to mimic a high-stakes atmosphere environment. Camera angles have been implemented and designed to pull players into the action and further ground them in cinema. Moreover, wear and tear are central components for balancing play, forcing players to take care of physical conditions and involuntary maintenance, which impacts both gameplay in AI matches and team performance.
XP is the currency of Road to Glory's progression system, with players earning player progression XP through completing in-game goals, performing well during games, spending time with their created player, and attending training sessions from a weekly agenda. Players earn XP as they play, which fills a progression bar and grants skill points that are used to level up their character's ratings & physical attributes.
Creating Your Own College Athlete Character
Fitting with the college setting, players can create their own custom male or female athlete within that period and kick off their pro career path at a crucial decision point from which they will follow one of two branches. Four distinct journeys exist, each with its own beginning and unique challenges as you progress from top recruit to the Road To Glory underdog. Even how players choose their own position, quarterback, wide receiver, running back, linebacker, or cornerback, provides different immersion levels and playing styles.

Manage wear and tear outside of games, XP with player progression between contests by upgrading skills or making distinct strategic decisions to push an athlete's career further.
A Reflection on the Strategic Decisions & Choices Players Will Have to Make
At its heart, this mode revolves around making strategic decisions with your character, managing their fitness levels along the "Road to Glory," and training them. It has real-time impacts on performance as key decisions that affect how you perform need to be made in-game. Decision time is in the middle of practice, school work, and social life and or making big plays on the field that keep players spiraling onto a way to success.
Between its focus on balance immersion and personalization for the mode to become an evergreen staple of NCAA 25 gameplay, delivering a replayable standout experience that promises realism and engagement in one product.
