Who is Caitlin Clark's Dad, Brent Clark?

Breaking record after record, the all-time leading scorer in NCAA women's basketball has the world watching every shot she takes. Being one of the fastest-rising stars in the WNBA, fans are quick to ask about her life on and out of the court, most especially, her first and most notable mentor.
Brent Clark: Her First Coach
Caitlin shares a special bond with her father, Brent Clark. Brent has been known to be the first coach of one of the greatest collegiate players of all time. While her father sometimes gets the heat of the controversy at times, he is also credited for instilling the values and fundamentals that allowed Caitlin to reach her current potential as an athlete. Mr. Clark is also undeniably one very supportive dad. You can spot him at almost every game cheering for Caitlin – both to offer support and coaching, whichever she needs at the time.
Brent Clark was also a collegiate athlete in his youth. He played for both the basketball and baseball teams of Simpson College in Iowa. Brent was one of the star players for both sports and took home honors for his teams. He and his wife, Anne, ensured that their kids were immersed in sports growing up. Caitlin gives a lot of credit to her dad when it comes to basketball. In an interview, she said that her form improved greatly thanks to Daddy Clark. It’s also interesting to note that their relationship wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows. As Caitlin admits, she sometimes gets mad at her dad for being a strict coach. But looking back, the things he taught her proved to be invaluable.
Aside from being Caitlin’s coach and stage father, Brent Clark is also an executive vice president for Concentric International in West Des Moines, Iowa. He previously worked as Chief Operating Officer and a board member for SPAL Automotive USA as well.
