Should the WNBA lower the rims? Shaquille O'Neal thinks so

A lot of criticism has been hurled to the WNBA amid their rapid growth in recent years. Statements that bear messages which say that the league is not exciting and there just aren't many highlights to hype up are common in this discourse. Shaquille O'Neal has an idea to make the competition more exciting. It is to lower the rims but stars from across the association along with legends who have retired simply do not agree.
At first glance, having lower rims could produce more highlights. Many WNBA stars could dunk or could create some high-flying moves that have not been seen much in women's basketball. The force needed to shoot the ball from deep would also not be that high anymore which makes shots more precise.
Shaquille O'Neal also had his own take on it: "60% of the fan said Dunking their favorite thing. The WNBA has none of that. So they make much less money. Just trying to get you that 300 million dollars you deserve. Love yall, WNBA. Do it for the WNBA All-Star game and watching the ratings go through the roof."
One WNBA star who did not like the idea at all was A'ja Wilson. The MVP out of the Las Vegas Aces proposed another way to address the supposed problem that O'Neal presented: "What is it gonna do? I would much rather just gear my offseason to, 'Okay, vertical, maxing it out, let's focus on this jumping. Versus lowering it an inch? That could change all of our shots. Do y'all not understand that?"
So, which side of the debate are you on?
