Athleticism is often genetic and a large bulk of stars in the modern day have parents that have been great in sports during their younger days. Kelsey Plum is a prime example of this. Both of her parents nurtured and made her grow not just as an athlete but a person with a great character. Who are the Las Vegas Aces shooter's parents and how impactful were they in her life?
Kelsey Plum was born to Katie and Jim Plum. A lot of people from the West Coast may know their names because of the dominance they exhibited when they were young. Katie was an insanely talented volleyball player for UC Davis while Jim was a high school football All-American who made a name for himself in San Diego State.
It was clear that they knew how to raise Kelsey once she started to like sports. Despite basketball being far from both of their expertise, there were other ways that they implored in order to help her. They often exercised and conditioned themselves as a form of bonding while the Aces star was growing up.
As a result, she was able to shatter a lot of NCAA Division I records when she reached college. Furthermore, her dominance continued in the WNBA where the Aces saw the two-time All-Star shine to help them win two championships. She is a very talented athletes but the way her parents raised her surely took her talents to a whole new level.
