Through the 2025 season the Mariners are the only MLB franchise that has never played in the World Series. Their best finishes are four trips to the ALCS.

- 2001 ALCS: lost to the New York Yankees 4–1
- 2025 ALCS: lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 4–3

- 1977: Played the first season at the Kingdome.
- 1995: Reached the postseason for the first time and beat the Yankees in the ALDS on Edgar Martínez's series-winning double.
- 1999: Opened Safeco Field, renamed T-Mobile Park in 2019.
- 2001: Went 116–46, tying the 1906 Cubs for the most wins in an MLB season.
- 2022: Reached the postseason for the first time since 2001.
- 2025: Won the AL West and reached the ALCS, losing Game 7 to Toronto.
