Sean O’Malley is an American mixed martial artist who currently competes in the UFC’s bantamweight division, where he is the former champion.O’Malley began his career in Montana before moving to Glendale Arizona, where he currently resides.  O’Malley was nicknamed Suga, by his MMA coaches because he is sweet to watch. O’Malley’s signature is his striking before becoming a full time MMA fighter, O’Malley participated in kickboxing, amateur boxing and professional boxing.

Sean O’Malley was born and raised in Helena Montana by his father, a police detective and his mother a nurse. He is the second of four children. He has two brothers and a sister. O’Malley began training in kick boxing at 16 years old and began his career as an amateur fighter.

Career Highlights: 

At the age of 19, O’Malley moved to Glendale Arizona to become a professional fighter. In 2017, he was featured on Dana White’s contender series, knocking out Alfred Khashakyan in the first round. O”Malley made his PPV debut fighting on the Main Card of UFC 222 defeating Andre Soukhamthath where they won Fight of the Night Honors. UFC 264 O”Malley fought on the same card as Conor McGregor in a dominant victory over Kris Moutinho increasing his popularity. O’Malley faced former bantamweight champion Peter Yan at UFC 280 winning a hard fought battle via split decision. At UFC 292 in Boston, O’Malley fought Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight championship. In 2019, O’Malley donated $27,500 to the Raising Special Kids whose mission is to Strengthen families and systems of care in hopes to improve outcomes for children with disabilities and special health care needs. During the 2022 Holiday season.Gave out $100 gift cards at a gas station in Arizona. In 2024, a story surfaced that O’Malley used 10K from his Rebook Endorsement deal to buy kids shoes, which he has donated to countless charities and kids in need over the years.
