The Flyers won the Stanley Cup in 1974 and 1975. Through 2026 they have lost in six other Finals, from 1976 to 2010.

Franchise history
- 1967: Began play as one of six NHL expansion teams, at the Spectrum.
- 1973: Nicknamed the "Broad Street Bullies" by Philadelphia Bulletin writers.
- 1974: Became the first 1967 expansion team to win the Stanley Cup.
- 1979–80: Went 35 games without a loss (25–0–10), a North American pro sports record.
- 1996: Moved from the Spectrum to the new CoreStates Center.
- 2025: Home arena renamed Xfinity Mobile Arena. In January, the Flyers and 76ers announced a new South Philadelphia arena, planned for 2030.
