- 1892: Founded after Everton left Anfield.
- 1959: Appointed Bill Shankly as manager.
- 1977: Won a first European Cup, beating Borussia Mönchengladbach in Rome.
- 1989: 97 Liverpool supporters died in the Hillsborough disaster.
- 2005: Won a fifth European Cup, beating AC Milan on penalties in Istanbul after trailing 3–0.
- 2020: Won a first Premier League title, the club's 19th league championship.
- 2025: Won a 20th league title, equalling Manchester United's English record.
