Green Bay won nine NFL championships before the Super Bowl era, including three in a row twice. It won four of its five Super Bowl appearances through the 2025 season.

Franchise history

1919: Founded by Curly Lambeau and George Whitney Calhoun.
1921: Joined the American Professional Football Association, the forerunner of the NFL.
1923: The Green Bay Football Corporation was formed to keep the team in Green Bay.
1957: Opened City Stadium, renamed Lambeau Field in 1965.
1959: Hired Vince Lombardi as head coach and general manager.
1967: Beat Dallas 21–17 in the "Ice Bowl" NFL Championship Game on December 31.
1997: Won Super Bowl XXXI, the first title since the 1967 season.
