- 1899: Founded in Barcelona by a group led by Joan Gamper.
- 1929: Won the first La Liga championship.

- 1992: Won a first European Cup, beating Sampdoria 1–0 at Wembley under coach Johan Cruyff.
- 2009: Won six competitions in one year, including a treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League.
- 2015: Won a second continental treble.
- 2023: Moved temporarily to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys while the Camp Nou was renovated, returning on 22 November 2025.
