The check and three stripes may be the first brands that come to mind when it comes to sportswear but Under Armour is growing fast. A large reason for why the brand is such largely hangs on the fact that they have invested in sponsoring athletes and having them as their endorsers. Despite just starting in 1996, they have attracted quite the talents.
The face of Under Armour has to be Tom Brady. This New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers legend is considered the greatest player to have ever set foot on the gridiron. It is also why the brand gave him a stake in the company while also paying him nearly $15 million a year to be their endorser. Other players in the NFL have followed suit and it won't be long until they catch up with Nike and Adidas when it comes to American football.
Another big name that Under Armour signed is Stephen Curry. The Golden State Warriors and Team USA legend earns the most out of all their signed athletes. His annual incoming from the brand alone is approximately valued at $20 million. Great talents like De'Aaron Fox also just signed with the brand which further strengthens their share of the basketball apparel pie.
The greatest Olympian of all time is also signed with Under Armour. Michael Phelps has been with the brand for a fairly long time. With the support of the sport apparel, he was able to win eight gold medals in a single Olympics run.
There are also other notable names across various sports that have loved Under Armour. Joel Embiid, Anthony Joshua, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Spieth, and Kelley O'Hara all come to mind. How about you? Who's your favorite Under Armour-sponsored athletes?
