High School and College Level Career
George Kittle was born on October 9, 1993 in Madison Wisconsin and then his family moved to Iowa when he very young. He went to Iowa City West High School (Iowa City), Cedar Falls High School (Cedar Falls), and Norman High School (Norman). Kittle committed to play college football at the University of Iowa and followed in his father's footsteps as Bruce was a former collegiate coach himself who lettered all four years that he played, while also coaching for 30+ years. His mother, Jan Krieger, was a standout athlete in her own right (she still ranks among the top career rebounders at Drake University) and achieved All-America status during he college basketball career.
Career in College Football Playing for Iowa
In college at Iowa, Kittle was coached by head coach Kirk Ferentz. His college football career started out playing sparingly but eventually it grew by leaps and bounds. Hamilton played sparingly as a true freshman behind two seniors and one junior the prior season but contributed his first career reception for 47 yards. As he got older in his college career, Kittle began to take on major responsibilities while becoming a key asset for the program until finally being used primarily in 2015 against North Dakota State.

Pre-Draft and NFL Career
Kittle was invited to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine as one of the top tight end prospects. The performance did not only earn him a good rating but also he got drafted later on to join the San Francisco 49ers as fifth-round pick in the year 2017 NFL Draft. Kittle has since become what many believe to be the best player at his position in the entire league; a two-time First- and Second-team All-Pro, Kittle is already being named as much due to hie dominance.
