Subsequent Injuries
Redd has had continued setbacks after he tore one of the ligaments in his knee initially. He also sustained injuries to his left knee and ankle, compounding the difficulties he faced returning from what should have been just an initial recovery process of six to nine months with a repaired ACL. His injuries, one after another, robbed him of court time montage and also asserted rod upon his performance.
Decline, Retirement, and Legacy
Due to his ongoing injuries, Michael Redd's playing time and efficiency slipped away. Redd struggled through several more seasons, hampered by injuries and trying to recapture his past glory, before retiring from basketball in 2013.Â
