Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is the latest disgraced NFL player figuring in quite the scandal.

In case you’re not caught up, the three-time Pro-bowl member has been accused of sexual misconduct and sexual assault in 22 civil lawsuits and 10 criminal complaints.

The NFL, understandably, has chosen to distance itself from Watson as the investigation pushes through. But surprisingly, the league still acknowledged the troubled signal-caller as one of its 100 top players.

Watson, who led the NFL with 4,823 passing yards last season, was ranked 18th in the annual list voted by fans.

Sure, Watson’s inclusion in the list did not include a single player interview, unlike his other peers. Instead, it came with an uncomfortable quote from the narrator.

"Nobody knows when Deshaun Watson will take the field again. His future is uncertain. But his talent is unquestioned."

The NFL, of course, has dealt with bad publicity from some of its players from the past. The Deshaun Watson incident is just another saga they’d much rather forget. However, it shouldn’t be the case, considering the severity of the accusations against the Texans star.
