There are probably not a lot of people in the world with the guts to call out Iron Mike, but Bob Sapp has been wanting that smoke for a long time. Sure, both fighters are now way past their fighting prime, but the case can be made that they are still in pretty good shape.

Mike Tyson, 55, looked good in his last outing against fellow legend Roy Jones Jr. Bob Sapp, who will be turning 49 later this year, is still pretty jacked and has a better physique than most fighters half his age!

The bad blood between the two enigmatic fighters has been brewing since Bob Sapp called out Mike Tyson during a K-1 event in 2003. After winning his MMA bout against Kimo, Bob Sapp issued a challenge against the heavyweight boxer, who was watching live in attendance.

Mike Tyson quickly entered the ring and accepted Bob Sapp’s challenge. He even said the fight can happen that night! Had there not been several people in the ring to separate the two, Bob Sapp and Mike Tyson would have likely gotten it on right there and then.

Following that confrontation, the potential Mike Tyson versus Bob Sapp matchup grabbed a lot of attention and hype from combat fans. But unfortunately, the fight never materialized.
