Georgia will be gunning for their second straight national title when they take on the TCU Horned Frogs in the CFP National Championship Game.
All eyes will be on the big stars such as Stetson Bennett, Kenny McIntosh, Jalen Carter, and Kelee Ringo to lead the Bulldogs to victory.
But don't sleep on wide receiver Kearis Jackson, who has the potential to be a real game-changer for Georgia in the championship game.
The 23-year-old put up modest numbers during his senior season as he had 20 catches for 300 yards and no touchdown. But that just speaks to the sheer depth of the Georgia offense, which had eight players who had 15 or more catches this season.
As a senior, Kearis Jackson is the leader of the wide receiving corps. He knows his role within the offense, and he has played it to perfection this season. But he is more than capable of stepping up to the plate when his number is called, and that call could very well come in the national championship game.
With most of the attention going to the likes of running back Kenny McIntosh, tight end Brock Bowers and wideout Ladd McConkey, Kearis Jackson and the rest of Georgia’s deep stable of playmakers will be ready to contribute when called upon.
And given how diverse the Georgia offense has been in terms of giving receivers touches, there’s quite a decent chance that an unsung hero can emerge in the title game.
With tons of experience in big games under his belt, Kearis Jackson will be the least likely to wilt under the pressure. He knows what it takes to be a champion, and he could very well deliver a key contribution that gives Georgia another championship.
