2024 has been another strong year for Canelo Alvarez. In May, Canelo Alvarez defeated Jaime Munguía on Cinco De Mayo Weekend to retain his status as undisputed super middleweight champion. In September, Alvarez defeated Edgar Berlanga during the Mexican Independence Weekend.
"Canelo has been really good at recently fighting these bigger younger guys." former boxer turned analyst Chris Algeri stated on ProBox TV.
Still, boxing fans have been desperate to see Canelo Alvarez get in the ring with David Benavidez. With Alvarez's likely next fight targeted for May, the fight everyone wants to see is Alvarez vs Benavidez.
