No Icing in Iowa? Kaleb Johnson's NIL Value

Running backs are deeply underrated in both college football and the NFL. A lot of elite rushers don't get their flowers until late in their careers too. Kaleb Johnson is experiencing this very phenomenon as he enters the 2025 NFL Draft process. The Iowa Hawkeyes star has been producing quite consistently for his squad but his NIL value might not even start to tell the whole story.
Kaleb Johnson is projected to get selected either in the first or second round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He is set to be one of the best running backs in this class but there is not quite a lot of attention that surrounds him or the Iowa Hawkeyes throughout the 2024 season. This elite rusher was named to the All-Big Ten Conference team because of his insane acumen.
Despite all of these accolades and big numbers, there has not been a lot of brands that reached out to Johnson. Only Powerade, The Swarm Collective, and Topps signed him to an endorsement deal. This pales in comparison to other players in college football who have been getting many offers after each game they play in.
Just how underappreciated is Johnson, you ask? Well, the Iowa running back only has an NIL valuation of $26,000. You read that right. Hopefully, he gets to show out when an NFL team drafts him such that his compensation equals the amount of effort put into his performances on the field.
