Legacy plays a huge part in how a parent raises their child. They want their kids to have a nice future while also not forgetting their roots. Luther Burden III certainly has nice parents who taught him the proper way of handling stardom. The two were also such a positive influence on the star wide receiver that he is deciding to pay the kindness forward.
Luther Burden III was born to Gaye Union and Luther Burden II. They welcomed him into the world on the 12trh of December in 2003. Since then, the two parents have been able to support their son in his endeavors. Eventually, he decided that it would be best for both him and his family if he were to pursue professional football. Both of his parents obliged because he was already a great wide receiver in high school.
There were a ton of offers which were placed in front of the young weapon but he decided to still join the Missouri Tigers. A big reason for this was because he had a fantastic childhood in the area due to his parents. He wants to give other underprivileged kids the opportunity to find themselves in their locality and this even sprung a philanthropic effort.
Burden is setting an example for other kids, just like how his parents was to him. In fact, he even outlined that his goal was to have great talents stay within Mizzou in order to promote how great of a stomping ground the area is: “I want to be the first. You know how big recruits in St. Louis, they all go to places like the Georgias, the Alabamas, I mean I just want to start a trend here in St. Louis for the younger people with talent in front of me, to stay home and take our talents to Missouri.”
