The highly anticipated sequel of Michael Jordan's 1996 film Space Jam is now out for basketballs fans around the world to watch. Current NBA Superstar LeBron James is featured as the main star of the movie including co-features of his current and former teammates including Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis.

The movie has received backlash from the NBA community siting that there was no need for a remake and LeBron is just trying to copy his predecessor Michael Jordan. Space Jam 2 currently sits with a score of 38% on Rotten Tomatoes; a site that aggregates movie reviews.

While the early negative reviews are a bad sign for the movie, the excitement around the film can lead it to be a box office hit and another feather in the cap of LeBron James.

“Space Jam 2: A New Legacy” is now playing in theaters across the nation and is available on HBO Max.
