JaVale McGee has had the privilege of playing alongside some of the all-time greats of the sport. Two of them happen to be LeBron James and Stephen Curry.

In a recent AMA on Bleacher Report, McGee was asked by a random fan who he enjoyed playing more with between the two icons of the sport. This prompted a straightforward response from the Phoenix Suns big man:

“I would probably say LeBron the first year I was on the Lakers.,” McGee responded.

Interesting response here from JaVale McGee.

For some context, you have to understand that McGee played two years alongside Curry with the Golden State Warriors. McGee won the title with the Dubs on both years.

Right after his highly-successful stint in The Bay, McGee signed with the Lakers. The 7-foot big man also spent two years in LA before signing for the Cleveland Cavaliers as a free agent last summer.

It is worth noting that it wasn’t until McGee’s second year with the Lakers that he won the title. For the record, McGee won three championships in four years with two different teams.

In his response, however, McGee noted that he enjoyed his first season in LA the most. As it turns out, it’s not all about winning titles for JaVale McGee.

It’s also interesting to think about what would make McGee prefer LeBron James over Stephen Curry. Is there more to this than what’s on the surface? Or is it just more of a matter of preference for JaVale McGee?
