Dennis Schroder’s 5-Word Response To All The Slander After Disastrous Free Agency Bid
Dennis Schroder has been the talk of the town of late. This is after the 27-year-old recently agreed to a one-year, $5.9 million deal with the Boston Celtics. That’s undeniably still a lot of money, but it absolutely pales in comparison to what Schroder turned down from the Los Angeles Lakers a couple of months back.
In March, Schroder rejected LA’s $84 million extension offer that would have kept him in Hollywood for the next four years. The German bet on himself and was hoping for a bigger payday in free agency. This decision clearly backfired on him and the critics have not been shy about lambasting him for the same.
For his part, however, Schroder needed just five words to respond to his naysayers:
“Keep that same energy ppl,” Schroder wrote on his Instagram story.
Schroder is clearly sounding off on his critics here. It seems like he’s challenging all these folks to carry on with their slander as he looks to prove all of them wrong now that he’s with the Celtics.
Schroder is just 27 and he has a lot of basketball ahead of him, so he should have more opportunities in the near future. He could actually prove to be an integral part of the Celtics playing alongside the likes of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. The 6-foot-3 combo guard will look to ball out this coming season as he hopes to secure a more long-term (and more profitable) deal next summer.
However things turn out for him, it’s hard not criticize Dennis Schroder for a head-scratching decision that virtually cost him $78 million.
